Calcium carbonate is a chemical compound with the chemical formula of caco3 and crushed lime stone powder is produced by crushing, grinding, precipitation of limestone. It is a common substance found in rocks as the minerals calcite and aragonite (most notably as limestone, which is a type of sedimentary rock consisting mainly of calcite)
Calcium carbonate is the active ingredient in agricultural lime and is created when calcium ions in hard water react with carbonate ions to create lime scale.
Powdered limestone is used as filler in paper, paint, rubber and plastics. Crushed limestone is used as a filter stone in on-site sewage disposal systems.
