There are two types of gout. Which type the bird suffers from depends on the body parts affected.
1. Visceral gout
A condition in which white uric acid or uratecrystals deposits are seen in soft tissues of various organs in body.
2. Articular gout
This chronic form of the disease which occurs when uric acid and urates are deposited in the ligaments andtendons, but more commonly in the legs or wing joints.
The joints become swollen, red, tender swell, and warmto touch. This condition is rarely seen and usually a chronic condition. Kidneys are generally normal and may become abnormal with white urate deposit if bird gets dehydrated.
Main causes are Genetic, High protein diet etc. A bird with articular gout prefers to sit on a flat surface instead of perching because of the pains. If forced to walk, the bird becomes noisy due to discomfort. It may also be depressed and dehydrated, with greenish diarrhea. In addition, the bird will look dull, its feathers ruffled and the vent moist.

Maduramicin Ammonium
Maduramicin is a monovalent glycoside polyetherionophore antibiotic. It induces an anticoccidialeffect on the asexual forms (sporozoites, merozoitesandfalciform bodies) of the endogenous developmentofcoccidia in poultry, some resistant forms to otherionophore antibiotics included. Its anticoccidial activity is due to disorder in ion metabolism (potassium andsodium in particular).
